1. Structure of plastic injection machine screw head
The screw head is usually a combination of 3 parts:
Screw Head (Screw Head): Attaches to the screw shaft by threaded connection.
Check-ring: There are 2 types: with and without clamp, the function is to prevent plastic from flowing back during the process of pushing and compressing plastic into the mold.
Seal-ring: Seals and presses against the anti-overflow ring to ensure anti-reflux.

• The plastic checkring has ears, the purpose of which is to be inserted into the rocket head (Screw head) to fix the plastic checkring and the rocket head together, preventing the plastic checkring from rotating around the rocket head.
• Depending on the design, the manufacturer will design 2 or 4 clasps for the plastic stop ring.
With this type, the adjustment of plastic quantity is more precise, the durability of the checkring is higher, when operating, the checkring will rotate with the screw shaft.
Screwdriver Bit Set
• The plastic checkring is designed in a cylindrical shape, both ends in contact with the rocket head (screw head) are flat. The plastic checkring rotates indefinitely on the rocket head.
• Depending on the design, the plastic ring end faces can have different taper angles.
With this type, the check-ring will rotate freely without following the screw. It is easier to manufacture, the amount of plastic is less accurate, because the check-ring does not rotate at the same speed as the screw when taking plastic, so it is easy to create turbulence. The contact area between the check-ring and the screw head is often worn. To deal with this situation, manufacturers often make the contact area harder, and the shank and thread are often softer to prevent breakage.
(*) In addition, if divided by usage function, there are also some special types of screw head sets, for example screw head sets with plastic mixing function, 4-piece screw head sets.
Screw head set with plastic mixing function
The screw head set with plastic mixing function is usually a screw head set without a clamp, it will have a special structure in 2 components:
The rocket head will be designed with twists and plastic corners to make the plastic flow chaotic and mixed together, thereby helping the plastic flow have a more uniform color, solving the product NG error.
The plastic retaining ring has guide grooves that aid in creating a swirling flow of plastic.
Uses:
Increase the ability to mix the main resin stream and the color masterbatch stream.
4-piece screwdriver set
The 4-piece screw head set is a combination of the design of the screw head set without jaw and the screw head set with jaw, it will have the advantages of both designs above.
Using high strength alloys, heat treated in a vacuum environment, creating products with the highest mechanical properties of carefully selected steels for manufacturing. Important parts of the components are reinforced with special alloys to increase component life.
4.2. Super hard alloy.
Hardness after finishing reaches from 60 to 65 HRC, especially some types reach 68HRC.
Application for screw heads used with plastics with high glass content, up to 65%GF.
4.3. Sintered screw head set
Using sintering technology to manufacture screw head assemblies by the method:
Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) is a manufacturing process used to reduce the porosity of metals and increase the density of many materials. This improves the mechanical properties and workability of the material. Because the material is of high purity and the material properties can be selected through the composition of the metal powder, it is the best technology to deal with plastics containing additives containing halogen free components.
Hardness after finishing reaches from 58 to 65 HRC, especially some types reach 68HRC.
Application for screw heads used with plastics with high glass content, up to 65%GF.
4.4. PVD Coating Screw Head Set
The screw head set uses PVD coating technology to increase the surface mechanical properties. The plating layer acts as a protective layer for the screw surface against the impact of plastic friction and chemical reactions with Halogen Free plastics.
PVD coating creates a metal ceramic film with high micro-hardness (1500-8000 HV), often exceeding 80 HRC, depending on the coating composition such as: TiN, CrN, TiALN, ... Coatings created by this technology often have a low coefficient of friction (0.1 - 0.4) depending on the above composition, This is a deposition process, with an average film thickness of 2-5 µm. The processing temperature is relatively low (320 °C - 600 °C), carried out in a relatively high vacuum environment (1.0^-2), No need for heat treatment after coating to maintain the hardness of the workpiece. The edges are always PRECISE, do not adhere too much coating and the coating will often be brighter and smoother.

Application: Suitable for PE, PC, PS, PET plastic.... good abrasion resistance, anti-adhesion, easy to change the type of plastic produced.
Application: Suitable for > 40%GF abrasion resistant plastic.
