1. Structure of the Injection Molding Machine Nozzle
The nozzle for an injection molding machine, also known as the injection nozzle, is the component attached to the cylinder. The connection between the nozzle and the cylinder comes in two types, depending on the specific design of the cylinder.
+ Directly mounted using either a bolted joint or a threaded connection.
+ Indirectly mounted via a nozzle adapter, meaning the nozzle is attached to the adapter, and the adapter is then connected to the cylinder.

The main function of the nozzle (injection head) is to channel the molten plastic into the mold. The nozzle makes direct contact with the entry point of the mold. Additionally, depending on specific cases, it may serve other purposes as well.

Special Types of Injection Nozzles
- Trộn nhựa (Mixing nozzle): When the produced product has a color (other than black, white, or clear), the issue of uneven mixing of colorants with the plastic can lead to inconsistent color in the final product. The nozzle plays a key role in mixing the plastic and colorant to ensure uniform color distribution and consistent product appearance. Mixing nozzle will create a swirling molten plastic flow, which helps to mix the colored plastic more evenly and improve the color stability of the product. To address the issue of uneven color mixing and color streaking, ASG offers the solution of using a mixer nozzle. These mixer nozzles are typically designed to be cleaned without disassembly, and the cleaning process is done by purging with new polymer. Thanks to the optimized nozzle design, there are no residues or dead zones, ensuring that the plastic and colorant mix completely after just a few injection cycles. This effectively prevents unnecessary material loss and reduces the time needed to clean the plastic in the machine.

Một dạng đầu phun nhựa dạng trộn - Shut-off nozzle: The shut-off nozzle is different from a standard nozzle because it can block the flow of molten plastic when not injecting. It is suitable for use with low-viscosity plastics that are prone to leaking from the nozzle. With years of design experience, ASG will consult with customers and provide the most optimal design for each type of injection molding machine. There are two types of shut-off nozzles: self-adjusting and externally adjustable.
1. Self-Adjusting Nozzle: The injection needle is kept in place by a spring pressure, which closes the nozzle. When the injection pressure increases, the molten plastic pushes the needle backward, opening the nozzle. Once the plastic inside the nozzle reaches a certain pressure, it successfully pushes the needle back. As a result, there will be a minimum pressure required to overcome the spring force and open the nozzle. When the nozzle opens, the pressure will decrease, and the spring-driven needle will close the nozzle hole.
Self-Adjusting Nozzle 2. Externally Adjustable Nozzle: The nozzle is opened by an external force, independent of the plastic flow pressure. The nozzle's shut-off function is controlled hydraulically or pneumatically. These types of nozzles have various mechanisms to stop the flow. Since they operate independently of the plastic flow pressure, they can be used for a wide range of applications such as pre-melt compression, physical and chemical foaming, and high-speed injection molding.

4. Manufacturing method
Using high strength alloys, heat treated in a vacuum environment, creating products with the highest mechanical properties of carefully selected steels for manufacturing. Important parts of the components are reinforced with special alloys to increase component life.
