2. Structure of plastic injection molding machine cylinder

        The cylinder is usually a long cylinder, with a clear hole in the middle to accommodate the screw and screw head. The cylinder is drilled with holes in the plastic on the body to install a plastic funnel on the cylinder body with holes to mount the temperature sensor.

        Cylinders are made from materials that can withstand high pressure and force such as steel, bronze or alloys and are designed to ensure durability and accuracy during operation.

To choose the material to make the cylinder, it is necessary to pay attention to the following characteristics:

• The type of plastic that the customer uses
  – Non-corrosive plastic: PET, PP, PC, ABS…
  – Corrosive plastic: PA, PA6. PA9T, PPS, LCP…
  – High-viscosity transparent plastic: transparent PC, colored PC.
  – High hardness plastic: Bakerlit
• Percentage of glass in plastic
  – 0%GF to 65%GF
• Centrifugal alloy coating method.
• Method using special alloy, Nitrider.

From the above factors, choose appropriate materials and manufacturing technology.

2. Characteristics of ASG Cylinder

ASG is using centrifugal casting cylinder method: This method uses alloy powder to be put into the cylinder, then heat and rotate the cylinder at high speed to use centrifugal force to create alloy coating inside the barrel.
For different plastics we use different alloy coatings. Especially for halogen-containing plastics, ASG uses super anti-corrosion and anti-wear materials, which significantly increases the life of the cylinder.
